Chris Matts is a programme manager/project manager/business analyst who specialises in delivering trading and risk management systems in investment banks. He was involved in BDD in the early days. Dan North and Chris developed the “GIVEN-WHEN-THEN” template together. Since then he has been working on Feature Injection. Whilst BDD provides a neat interface between the business and the development team, Feature Injection helps the business prepare a comprehensive set of examples to feed the BDD machine. Whilst looking to price the option that exist naturally in an Agile development process Chris tripped over Real Options.

Erik Talboom is a people-centric agile technical coach for software craftmanship, who loves challenging people’s personal and professional status quo. He’s well respected professional amongst his peers in developer-centric software craftmanship community. He is also wonderful to be around for testers, as he has experience from showing up voluntarily to share and co-learn in testing conferences. Linda Rising is brilliant speaker with a strong agile slant, and we have invited her to do the opening keynote with us inviting everyone for two days of deliberate practice in testing. Linda is the author of a book Fearless Change, and speaks from her vast experience to the hearts of people. She’s known to move people to tears with her touching stories on how we change the world, intertwined with practical advice on how to do things.

The environment she works in has facilitated her learning on the importance of context in testing, the exploratory approach, and caring a great deal about improving her testing skills. Her focus on her current project is on achieving a balance between working on understanding the users and their needs and collaborating effectively with the technical team. After finishing school in the educational system, she took full responsibility of her learning. Since then she enrolled in BBST courses, followed courses on Coursera, read challenging books, had coaching sessions on testing, presented at various conferences. In 2013 her presentation was voted for the do-over session at EuroSTAR. She was in the program committee for Eurostar 2014.

Christina Ohanian’s passion and strengths lie in agile software development in particular the practice of Behaviour Driven Development. She cares about helping teams and individuals learn and understand the value of practices such as Scrum and Kanban, learning about iterative development and faster feedback loops. As an avid agile evangelist, she is passionate about helping build and support self organising teams and individuals from the ground up and she loves learning about people, their passions and what motivates them. Daniel Billing has been a tester for 14 years, working within a diverse range of development organizations, mostly in the south west of England. He lives in Frome, Somerset and currently works as a test engineer at New Voice Media, where most of his time is spent working on the security testing needs of the business. This includes mentoring, supporting and training members of the team to use these skills also. Dan is a community builder with local meetups in the Bristol and Bath area, and a co-facilitator for the Weekend Testing Europe chapter. He’s shared his lessons on security testing in various conferences, and now joins us to teach security testing in a workshop.

Emma Keaveny is an enthusiastic tester. She delivered her first conference talk at TinyTestBash, and it was so great we invited her to share it with us for a wider audience. Emma works for Interica on archive and retrieval software. This can prove challenging at times having to learn and navigate around various operating systems and databases. It is an ideal place to learn and hone in on new testing skills and tools that she has picked up and is enjoying every minute of it. She is also co-organiser of BrighTest Actually, a Brighton based testing meetup where fellow testers get together either for a few drinks, games or some interesting talks. Wherever Emma can get involved in testing you will see her there, always looking to improve her skill set, learning new techniques and trying them out.

Franziska Sauerwein has worked as a software developer and consultant for three years before moving to London to join Codurance and completing her apprenticeship there. Gita Malinovska has worked in various technology companies in the retail and banking sectors as well as running her own web development company in Ireland, and is now the QA Champion at Earthware Ltd. In this role Gita is responsible for quality assurance across all of the responsive websites, mobile apps and complex web applications created by Earthware for their clients in the healthcare industry and other sectors. Jesse Alford has made a career of listening to good advice. He doesn’t have the sense to know that the idealistic things he’s been told to do (like: pairing, exploration, TDD, BDD, and Continuous Integration) don’t work; he just goes on succeeding with them anyway. He’s an engineer and noted exploratory tester working for Pivotal in San Francisco on Cloud Foundry, the open-source Platform as a Service. Despite the horrors of legacy systems, he is still enthusiastic about writing code. He is interested in code quality tools, code generation techniques and modern languages like Ruby or Scala. Richard Bradshaw is a friendly tester with a real passion for testing. Currently working as an Independent Tester after having set up Friendly Testing Limited in 2014, he has been testing for over 8 years now. He’s a big advocate of automation, but not the silver bullet type, the type that really supports testing and testers. He is very technically minded and encourages the use of tools. Rikke Simonsen is a project manager in a Danish consultancy specialized in building complex websites in Drupal. She has a background in computer science and has throughout the years filled the roles of both a web developer, technical tester and business analyst, giving her a good understanding of the various roles in an agile team. She’s passionate about agile testing and BDD and is the organizer of the “Copenhagen BDD Meetup”.

In her spare time she supports families affected by autism. Roy De Kleijn is a Test Consultant with a true passion for technical testing. He has a lot of experience in automated testing of webservices, performance and websites. He is always trying to find a way to transfer knowledge to colleagues who are interested in the automated testing of software.

He worked on a test automation implementation at Aspider Solutions International, a Telecom company. He succeeded to create automated tests for the core functionality, such as functional flows and mediation process. Ru Cindrea is a senior test consultant and managing partner at Altom Consulting. With more than ten years of experience in software testing, she is particularly interested in mobile testing and automation with a special interest in mobile games. Ru is an instructor for the Black Box Software Testing series offered by Altom in collaboration with KFA (Kaner-Fiedler Associates). She is one of the organizers of the Test Lab, an open-space concept organized at testing conferences where participants practice testing and learn from their peers.

Simon P. Schrijver is a very experienced all-round tester, who has worked since 1997 as tester, test coordinator and test manager. He has several years of experience using SBTM as a test approach. Since 2005, Simon works as an independent consultant.
